International Women in Engineering Day

June 23rd is International Women in Engineering day where we raise the profile of women in engineering and focus the attention on the career opportunities available to girls in this industry. RAM would like to recognize and celebrate all the amazing female engineers who work with us and #ShapeTheWorld with their incredible contributions. Meet some of RAM’s female engineers!

Luba Ebert, P.Eng., PMP

Luba is Director of Project Delivery and leads the Electrical Team at RAM. Luba is experienced in managing transmission and distribution projects for BC Hydro including the delivery of over $200 million of engineering and construction work annually. Her past projects vary from strategic asset management to managing large multi-disciplinary design teams for transit and gas line facilities.

Christine Tschetter

Christine is RAM’s Director of Project Services, overseeing Quality Management, Inspection Services, Supply Chain, Safety Management, and Document Control. She is a member of Women’s Infrastructure Network (WIN), Women in Consulting Engineering (WCE), and leads RAM’s initiative as a Champion for ASTTBC’s Advancing Women in Engineering & Technology project.

Polyana Ortega

Polyana is a Senior Document Controller at RAM. She has extensive experience on projects in the Lower Mainland such as the Vancouver Airport Fuel Delivery project, the Evergreen Line (Coquitlam and Burnaby), South Fraser Perimeter Road (SFPR) and Canada Line in Richmond.

 

Carolina Amaral

Carolina is a Junior Civil Inspector at RAM. Carolina has experience in inspecting site progress of different types of commercial and multi-residential projects while she lived in Brazil. As Civil Inspector, she performs Civil Construction Inspections on RAM’s projects.​

Faizana Hirji

Faizana is an Electrical Drafter at RAM. She is a graduate from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree, specializing in Electrical Engineering.

Olivia Taje, EIT, BC-CESCL

Olivia is a Civil Engineer and Inspector at RAM. Olivia has proven experience in the design, construction and maintenance of municipal water, storm and sanitary infrastructure in the lower mainland. Olivia is a registered Engineer-In-Training (EIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) and a Certified Erosion and Sediment Control Lead.

Kiyomi Le, P.Eng.

Kiyomi is a Project Manager at RAM with six years of experience working on various pipeline projects across Canada.  She has experience working on oil, natural gas, carbon dioxide and hydrogen pipelines in both urban and rural settings across Canada. Her areas of expertise include pipeline construction drawings, pipeline design reports, and material requisitions and procurement including technical evaluations.

Neda Bahrami

Neda is a Draftsperson with RAM. She has over fifteen years of experience as a piping designer, electrical, and structural drafter. She has worked on major oil and gas, chemical, pulp and paper, and power plant projects. Neda also has experience in piping design on major offshore and industrial projects including major power plant projects.

Lindsay Hawkins, EIT

Lindsay is a Civil Inspector/Field Engineer at RAM. She participated in Women in Science and Engineering and represented the University of Ottawa at Ontario Engineering Competition (OEC) for Junior Engineering Design in 2017. She has been working as a field engineer/civil inspector on the construction of the Vancouver Airport Fuel Delivery Project. ​

Krystal Go

Krystal is an Engineering Co-op at RAM. She is specializing in Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia!​
