Faizana is a Drafter at RAM. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Through her various work experiences, Faizana has acquired a strong understanding of design documents and various aspects of the engineering design.

“Faizana joined the Electrical group in the Spring of last year and has become a key member of our team. She is hard working, dedicated and is always open to learning new things.  Faizana picked up Auto CADD and quickly moved on to help the rest of the team, not just with drafting but with completing numerous designs.  I am certain that Faizana will continue to grow, take on new challenging tasks and become an outstanding professional!” says Luba Ebert, P.Eng., PMP, Director of Project Delivery at RAM.

What are 3 career lessons you’ve learned this far?

    1. Ask and clarify: Especially as a new grad, you are constantly learning so do not be afraid to ask questions and clarification.
    2. Don’t be afraid to voice your opinion: As a new grad, my coworkers have a lot more experience than I do which can sometimes make it intimidating to voice opinions but a new grad brings new perspective and a fresh set of eyes which can be really valuable
    3. Find a career that you enjoy doing: The career you choose is something you will be doing everyday so ensure that is something you enjoy doing and feel passionately about because it will make going to work that much more enjoyable

What do you like to do on your days off?

I love baking, cooking new recipes and spending time with friends and family. Right now, I especially have been enjoying going up to the local mountains to ski!
