Project Description

The City of Port Moody is rehabilitating a sanitary lift station located outside the Westhill Pool and Community Centre. The existing system consists of a 250mm PVC discharge pipe connected to the lift station where two duty pumps and associated mechanical equipment convey wastewater to the 200mm sanitary main along Westhill Place, approximately 68m away. As part of a feasibility study, RAM had recommended that the City proceeds with the station’s structural rehabilitation with the option of upgrading the mechanical and electrical components at a later date.

RAM’s Role

RAM was retained by the City of Port Moody to provide construction management services including subcontractor procurement and coordination, contract administration, quality assurance, and issuance of substantial and total completion certificates. The project utilized a revolutionary spray applied hybrid polyurethane lining system to reinstate the lift station’s structural integrity and provide infiltration control and corrosion resistance.
