Project Description

Our team was retained by BC Hydro to work in their Engineering Department for a duration of one year, with several responsibilities that we successfully carried out.

RAM’s Role

We were brought on to complete the following:

• Acting as the Contracts Manager for outside civil inspection, survey, and drafting contracts;
• Setting up work initiation procedures and systems and implementing them throughout the province;
• Completing a geographical study in order to assess and optimize the setup of future outside contracts;
• Establishing reporting and auditing procedures for outside contractors;
• Rating contractor performance and ensuring compliance with all contract documents;
• Establishing inspection and survey budgets for various projects in British Columbia;
• Initiating and tracking task requests to report on key performance metrics for the internal Distribution Civil Engineering and Drafting department;
• Providing design and engineering guidance on the construction of underground distribution systems.
