Tell us about your role at RAM? What do you like most about it?
I am an Assistant Project Manager currently working on the River Debris Clean Up Program and the Holdom Overpass projects. My favourite part is definitely the variety of projects we get to work on. The couple I have right now are very different from each other and each pose unique challenges that keep me on my toes!
What do you find most challenging at RAM?
Funny enough, being able to balance the projects I’m working on. It can be quite demanding at times however I’ve come to realize that I can rely on my colleagues for support.
What advice would you give to recent new hires?
Speak up! Ask questions and bring up any concerns you have. No one can help you if they don’t know what’s going on.
What are 3 career lessons you’ve learned this far?
- Make sure you take care of your mental health.
- You don’t have to do anything on your own! We’re a team and we take care of each other.
- The opportunities that scare you are the ones that will really help you grow as a person and professionally. Within reason, of course.
What do you like to do on your days off?
I like to do activities with my friends and family, which are often going out for dinner, playing boardgames, going hiking, or going on a trip. I’m very extroverted so I like to spend my free time with people!
