RAM is excited to announce our new Manager of Project Management, Adnan Zafar, PMP!
Adnan has fifteen (15) years of diversified experience in Initiating, Planning, Monitoring & Controlling, Executing, and Closing Multi-million-dollar Oil & Gas, Commercial, Industrial, and EV Infrastructure Projects. Over the years, he has excelled in managing significant projects, demonstrating expertise in project execution planning, stakeholder management, and value engineering. Adnan has collaborated with industry leaders, showcasing his adeptness in managing intricate projects and aligning with diverse stakeholder expectations.

Tell us about your role at RAM? What do you like most about it?
At RAM, I will hold a multifaceted role as a Manager in Project Management. I will lead the delivery of projects, overseeing all aspects, from budgets and schedules to stakeholder engagement. Additionally, I will actively contribute to business development by pursuing new clients, collaborating on RFPs, and expanding RAM’s revenue. People management is another key aspect, where I will lead the project management team, maintain client relationships, and support staff recruitment for my department.
Business development and people management are the aspects of my role I like the most. Engaging in business development will allow me to contribute to the company’s growth and build valuable client relationships. On the other hand, people management will allow me to lead and develop a dynamic team, promoting collaboration and cultivating key partnerships. These responsibilities are among the most fulfilling aspects of my position.
What advice would you give to recent new hires?
I would advise them to develop strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills to collaborate with management, peers and other stakeholders. Invest their time in continuing education, certifications, and professional development to remain competitive and advance in their career. Learn from setbacks, adjust their strategies, and maintain a positive attitude to overcome obstacles and drive success.
What are 3 career lessons you’ve learned this far?
Here are my three career lessons I’d like to share with you:

- Continuous Learning: In the ever-evolving field of project management, staying updated with the latest Project Management tools, methodologies, and industry best practices is crucial.
- Communication: Effective communication is at the heart of successful project management. Therefore, strong interpersonal and leadership skills are critical to be successful.
- Adaptability and Resilience: Projects often encounter unexpected challenges and changes. Being adaptable and resilient in the face of adversity is a valuable trait for any Project Management Professional.
What do you like to do on your days off?
On my days off, I enjoy biking, hiking, and boating. I also draw pencil sketches whenever I get some free time. In addition, I also play guitar (both acoustic and electric). My favourite music genre is hard rock and metal. Nowadays, I am actively learning how to record, edit and mix music, using my small home studio for this purpose. I like to go camping and have BBQs with friends.
