Project Management

RAM’s project management team (PMT) are infrastructure delivery experts, from transportation to utility projects. Our experienced, in-house professionals have built cruise ship piers, rapid transit projects, utilities, overpasses, and highways for public and private clients. Our project management team’s industry relationships and expertise with clients and stakeholders allow for effective delivery of your project. Our experience with major infrastructure projects paired with smaller municipal capital infrastructure programs/projects allow our PMT’s to provide leadership at all stages of a project including, but not limited to:

  • Project Initiation, Planning and Definition
  • Project Funding and Permitting
  • Consultant Procurement
  • Design (conceptual/preliminary/detailed)
  • Contractor Procurement
  • Construction
  • Project Closeout and Handover

Many of our project managers are Project Management Professionals (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI), and carry other project delivery designations, including PMI’s Risk Management Professional (RMP), the Master Municipal Construction Documents (MMCD), Certified Contract Administrator (CCA), and the Institute for Sustainability’s Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP). This commitment to professional development ensures our team is on the cutting edge of project leadership, from traditional project management, contract delivery, and environmental standpoints.

RAM works for both Contractors and Owners, allowing our PMT an insightful 360° scope, accurately evaluating contracts and assessing risks. Our PMT act as an extension of your team, from representing your organization at meetings to acting as the main point of contact for your project. Our PMT is comfortable working in our client’s offices, and with their internal tools and templates. We have added value to our current and past clients by evaluating their internal tools and templates upon on-boarding to the organization to see where potential improvements and/or efficiencies can be made.

We understand that project management resource requirements can change based on variations in large or one-off projects that are added to normal capital/maintenance/day-to-day project load. Our PMT can be engaged on an as-needed basis, supplementing our client’s team for delivery of an entire project, or a specified scope of a project, to help allow in-house project managers to focus on the regular project delivery responsibilities.

Every RAM project has a project-specific Project Management Plan (PMP) written for it. The PMP demonstrates our team’s understanding, commitment, and ability to manage issues related to the project. The PMP allows RAM to document our client’s/the project’s “Why”, acting as the baseline for delivery of the project, and is developed as the project progresses.

Each project-specific PMP is a living document, and includes the following sub-Plans:

  • Scope Management Plan with a defined project objective, scope, and change management process;
  • Master Project Budget Plan;
  • Master Project Schedule Plan;
  • Risk Management Plan and Register;
  • Procurement Management Plan;
  • Quality Plan;
  • Safety Plan;
  • Communication Plan and protocols for the project, as well as between the client and RAM; and
  • Project Stakeholder Engagement/Management Plan
