Project Description
The Bull Run Filtration Facility Project in Portland, Oregon, involves constructing a new water treatment facility to filter water from the Bull Run Watershed, ensuring compliance with federal and state drinking water standards. Scheduled for completion by 2027, the facility will use advanced filtration and UV disinfection to remove contaminants, safeguarding Portland’s water supply. The project, estimated at 2.134 billion, is one of the city’s largest infrastructure investments.
RAM’s Role
RAM is responsible for ensuring quality compliance, providing drafting and quality management services, and supporting construction processes. Their role involves developing structured workflows, preparing contractual submittal packages, and assisting with document management. RAM ensures the successful delivery of precise drafting solutions, adherence to quality standards, and streamlined project execution for the Bull Run Filtration Facility. Specific Responsibilities include:
- Development and review contractor quality submittals
- Comprehensive review of engineering project specifications to determine required submittals
- Development of inspection and test plans and associated checklists for civil and piping disciplines
- Establishment of a construction document handover index
- Development of project plans for pressure testing of piping systems
- Preparation of 2D & 3D lay/coordination drawings for facility piping, included in submittal packages
- Submission of coordination and planning schematics for field execution plans
- Preparation of parts lists and installation procedures
