Project Description

Project Description

The Woodfibre LNG Project is a large-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility located near Squamish, British Columbia. The project involves the development of a floating LNG production and storage facility with associated marine infrastructure, including jetty works, pile foundations, mooring systems, and offshore structural installations.

The facility is designed to produce and export LNG to international markets while incorporating a low-emissions design through the use of hydroelectric power. The project is being delivered in a constrained marine and coastal environment, requiring extensive coordination for logistics, environmental compliance, and marine construction sequencing.

Our Role

RAM’s scope of work for this project includes:

  • providing quality management services supporting PPM Civil Constructors under the prime contractor–McDermott Energy Solutions–for marine construction works;
  • supporting the development and implementation of project quality documentation, including inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality control procedures, and construction readiness documentation prior to the start of construction;
  • performing site-based quality oversight of marine construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality plans, and regulatory requirements;
  • assisting the Quality Manager with inspection reporting, document control, and coordination of field quality assurance activities on a rotational offshore, flotel-based work schedule.
