Project Description

In 2020, a confidential client in the USA awarded the construction of a new Fulfillment Centre in Newnan, GA to a contractor. The client retained CIMA+ Engineering with the support of RAM to act as their on-site representatives, providing project oversight on various aspects of the construction work carried out by the contractor.  Specific project scope items included:

• organizing on-site co-ordination meetings;
• preparing a master project schedule;
• reviews of design-builder drawings;
• overseeing and coordinating on-site construction;
• ensuring construction complies with the plans and technical specifications;
• preparing “punch list” items and follow-up;
• managing project control tasks (schedule, budget, risks, quality and performance control);
• overseeing the installation of owner-furnished equipment;
• comprehensive document control (follow-up, review, and approval of various construction documents as required).

Our Role

RAM’s role was to support CIMA+ as construction managers and contract administrators to ensure that the contractor performed the work in accordance with the client’s requirements and technical specifications. Our team served as the client’s on-site representative on behalf of CIMA+.

We were directly responsible for overseeing and reporting all construction activities on site. Additional responsibilities included:

• attendance of on-site co-ordination meetings;
• construction and quality assurance supervision on site;
• liaising with over 15 sub-contractors to gather daily updates on completed work;
• developing daily project reports;
• regularly updating the master project schedule;
• managing the installation of owner-furnished equipment.
