Project Description

A Client in the US has awarded the construction of a new Fulfillment Centre in Newnan, GA to a contractor. The Client retained CIMA+ with the support of RAM, to act as their representatives on-site providing project oversight on various aspects of the construction work carried out by the contractor. Specific Project scope items included:

• On-site co-ordination meetings
• Preparation of master project schedule
• Design reviews of design-builder drawings.
• On-site construction co-ordination and oversight
• Ensuring construction complies with plans and technical specifications
• Preparation of punch list items and follow-up
• Project control tasks (schedule, budget, risks, quality and performance control)
• Installation oversight of owner furnished equipment
• Document control (follow-up, review and approval of various construction documents -as required)

RAM’s Role

RAM’s role was to support CIMA+ as Construction Managers and Contract Administrators to ensure that the contractor performed the work in accordance with the Client’s requirements and technical specifications. RAM acted as the Client’s on-site representative on behalf of CIMA+. RAM was directly responsible for the oversight and reporting of construction activities on-site. Additional responsibilities included:

• Attendance of on-site co-ordination meetings
• Construction and Quality Assurance oversight on-site.
• Liaise with over 15 sub-contractors to gather daily updates on completed work.
• Development of Daily Reports
• Regular update of the master project schedule
• Installation oversight of owner furnished equipment
