Project Description

BC Hydro required a new 60 kV relay building at Barnard Substation in Burnaby, BC. RAM was retained by IDL Projects to provide Quality Assurance and Construction Management services. RAM’s scope of work involved civil, electrical and mechanical construction works, with tasks including:

• Preparation of the project’s Quality Assurance Plan;
• Inspection/test plans/checklists for civil and structural works;
• Site inspection services during backfilling and concrete works; and
• Review of Quality Control and Quality Assurance Reports from third parties, and management of non-conformances.
