Project Description

The Canada Line connects downtown Vancouver with existing heavy rail lines, bus services, commuter rail, sea bus and the airport. The driverless system includes eight underground, six elevated and two at-grade stations, as well as an operations and maintenance centre. The Canada Line Project is a public-private partnership operating as part of a network of public transit services in metropolitan Vancouver.

RAM’s Role
RAM coordinated the construction and design for utility relocations, traffic detours, and temporary electrical works as well as managed accommodation work to facilitate the excavation and construction of the cut and cover tunnel.
  • Coordinated the construction of Yaletown station and the restoration Cambie Street following tunnel construction and backfill
  • Assisted in accelerating the project schedule by three months by successfully managing the installation of 12 temporary bridges and detours on urban arterial streets
