Project Description

This project consisted of the design and construction of new civil works due to the adjacent land sale by Fraser Health. The scope of work consisted of parking lot modifications, new driveway access and the removal of a modular office building. The work is located in a congested active long-term care facility and the Construction management had to accommodate limited workspaces, COVID-19 risks, continuous emergency and resident vehicle access, noise level restrictions, municipal government engagement, bylaw and permit adherence, and strict environmental management.

RAM’s Role

RAM was retained by Fraser Health as construction managers to facilitate the site design modifications and management of the subsequent construction phase to accommodate the conditions of the sale of the neighboring land parcel. RAM provided civil engineering design services for the new driveway construction, parking lot modifications and is providing ongoing construction management services related to municipal engagement and civil works. RAM is working closely with Fraser Health to ensure their specific concerns are addressed with no impact to the facility’s daily operations.
