Project Description

The Distribution Design Rehabilitation program is a FortisBC capital project aimed at replacing, repairing, or upgrading existing electrical distribution systems and equipment across their operating areas in the Okanagan and Kootenay regions. Current projects include work in Kelowna and the Crawford Bay/Gray Creek areas, reflecting the program’s broad regional scope.

Our Role

RAM is providing electrical design for overhead distribution rehabilitations of varying extents that range from single pole replacements, to overhead to underground conversions, to multi-span replacements and reconductoring.  This includes:

  • Performing initial field visits to assess structures and equipment and verifying the needed scope of work;
  • Coordinating with internal FortisBC and external shareholders to communicate the designs and expected work;
  • Providing detailed engineering design for the modification or replacement of overhead distribution infrastructure.
