Project Description

This project, completed in 2020, consisted of engineering and designing a new pad-mounted outdoor unit sub, coordination with BC Hydro, and construction support.

Our Role

RAM coordinated with BC Hydro for several services, including the following:

• Preparing civil design at new service location.
• Identifying the proposed unit sub location.
• Preparing site layout drawings for BC Hydro,
• Designing and engineering the unit substation layout as per Canadian Electrical Code and BC Hydro Primary Guide.
• Completing fuse coordination engineering as per BC Hydro Primary Guide.
• Engaging structural engineering firm for unit substation concrete pad design.
• Issuing a compilation of the construction package for contractors.
• Conducting Engineer of Record field review of unit substation during construction.
• Completing record drawings for unit substation.
• Coordinating with BC Hydro to energize unit substation.
