Project Description

FortisBC provides electricity services for the Southern Interior region of BC with a 2021 pick demand above 760MW.

 

RAM’s Role

RAM’s Junior Station Engineer supported FortisBC’s Electric Network Assets Group and their development of the five-year station sustainment investment plan. Our scope includes:

  • Development of Scope of Work and business case documents for the current and next MRP.
  • Elaborate Estimate according to AACE Cost Estimate Classification System.
  • Updating internal planning and prioritization tools.
  • Coordinating stakeholder meetings for project approvals, including documenting feedback.

Project Highlights

During this time, RAM worked on a variety of different projects, among which include:

  • Station rebuild projects.
  • Minimum oil circuit breaker replacement.
  • DGA monitor addition.
  • Transformer oil filtration device addition.
  • Transformer oil containment system.
  • Station ground grid upgrades.
