Project Description

In 2019, Metro Vancouver was in need of Quality Assurance and inspection services for the upgrading of the Sasamat Reservoir in Pacific Spirit Park, located in Vancouver’s west side close to UBC.

The project required several upgrades, including concrete repairs, replacing of sealant, and seismic upgrading of the reservoir.

Our Role

RAM’s quality assurance and inspection team was contracted by Metro Vancouver to deliver their services for this project.  We were responsible for performing on-site inspection and quality assurance for the following scope of work:

• Documentation and progress reporting;
• Facilitating the completion of scope;
• Monitoring the adherence to proper work procedures;
• Approving and supervising tests / specifications for concrete strength;
• Overseeing sealant application condition and procedures;
• Concrete slab repair;
• Removal of bituminous material;
• Roof concrete crack repairs;
• Installation of new joint sealant.
