Project Description

The City of Victoria was recently audited by Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) for an EGBC Permit to practice Initial Compliant audits as qualified service providers to the City.

Our Role

For this ongoing project, RAM has been retained to:

  • Review the entirety of the audit reports and associated documents;
  • Review the Corrective Action Requests (CAR’s) as identified by EGBC, and support development of appropriate compliance per EGBC recommendations and requirements;
  • Review the Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) as identified by EGBC, and support development of appropriate policy and procedures;
  • Update the City’s Professional Practice Management Plan (PPMP) to incorporate all changes identified by EGBC’s audit;
  • Develop a training plan and procedure for the City to support ongoing development of the PPMP;
  • Provide initial training to the City’s engineering roster, including developing training materials for the City’s use, and providing updates on an ongoing basis;
  • Evaluate the work carried out by the Public Works Department, encompassing construction, operations, and maintenance of both surface and underground infrastructure, as well as emergency response procedures.
