Project Description

Fraser Transportation Group (FTG) Partnership, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, and BC Transportation Financing Authority entered into an Agreement for the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of the South Fraser Perimeter Road, located between Delta port Way (Southwest Delta) and 176th Street, Surrey (Hwy 15) in the province of British Columbia. As part of operations and maintenance, rehabilitation work consisting of the reprofiling, supply and place asphalt paving for the Closed Landfill Area Site 3 section of the road was required and completed in November 2018. The rehabilitation work included:

• Excavation and disposal of existing pavement
• Reshaping and compaction of subgrade
• Supply and Installation of new asphalt pavement, curbs and spillways
• Replacement of existing catch basins

RAM’s Role

RAM was retained to provide Contract Management services, overseeing the administration of the subcontract on behalf of FTG O&M. RAM was responsible for coordinating the review of submittals, verification of permitting compliance, verification of progress payment claims, change order management, claims negotiation and verification and assembly of the contract turnover documentation. RAM also acted as the single point of contact for the coordination of all work with the Client, the Client’s Professional of Record, the Client’s Prime Subcontractor and the Subcontractor.
