Project Description

Pilot Company (Pilot) is a Canadian enterprise that maintains travel centres throughout Canada, offering additional services such as gasoline, meals, and budget-friendly convenience stores. As of 2026, Pilot is undergoing upgrades at an existing site in Red Deer, Alberta, which include interior design refurbishments, as well as general site upgrades such as grading, drainage, and utility considerations.

As the Civil Engineer on this project, RAM’s role is to:

• Review existing site arrangements and provide inputs to support building upgrades, while minimizing the impacts to civil features (including services such as grading and utilities);
• Review the existing grading and lot layout to recommend any upgrades as needed;
• Review all existing utility conditions and recommend upgrades as needed;
• Support permitting processes and applications;
• Prepare a detailed design package to show proposed site upgrades.
