Project Description

Kwantlen Polytechnical University (KPU) required a Feasibility Study and Class 4 Estimate for fast Electric Vehicle charges at three of its campuses. The study will help KPU secure funding for Electric Vehicle charging stations to be installed on campus.

RAM’s Role

RAM and LAE completed a feasibility study for KPU and identified alternatives for new Electric Vehicle. Our team prepared a final feasibility report with evaluations and recommendations for the following:

• Available grants;
• Electric Vehicle charger specifications and locations at 4 KPU campuses (Langley, Cloverdale, Surrey, and
  Richmond);
• Point of connection (electrical room) to feed new chargers; and Electrical upgrades to feed new chargers; and
• Class 4 Cost Estimate, including Engineering Costs, Civil and Electrical construction costs; and Operational costs
