Project Description

As part of BC Hydro operations, Distribution Civil and Electrical Construction Inspection Services are required to ensure that civil and electrical assets are constructed in compliance with the design and BC Hydro standards and specifications. The electricity generated from these assets are transmitted to communities throughout the province has consistently powered B.C.’s economy and quality of life. 

RAM’s Role 

RAM is providing civil and electrical construction inspection services, including the following: 

• Civil Field Review and Construction Quality Assurance Inspections (generally during construction) 
• Electrical Field Review and Construction Quality Assurance Inspections (for completed work or existing assets) 

The Electrical work type is divided into sub-sections for both Overhead and Underground electrical work/assets as follows:  

• Field Reviews for Project Work (generally during construction)
• Quality Assurance Inspection for Program Work (for completed work or existing assets)  

Project Highlights

BC Hydro may necessitate specific Distribution Civil and Electrical Construction Inspection Services for various projects or programs. By leveraging Smartsheet, Fulcrum, and KIE, RAM has effectively orchestrated, monitored, and overseen projects. Smartsheet facilitated task organization, deadline setting, and resource allocation within the team. Fulcrum and KIE facilitated the establishment and utilization of a checklist system during inspections of utility poles and streetlights
