Project Description
In 2019, Metro Vancouver required the emergency repair and replacement of a corroded steel sanitary sewer pipe spanning over Cypress Creek in West Vancouver. The damaged pipe was located on a CN Rail trestle at Burkeridge Place and Burkehill Road.
The project required the demolition and removal of the existing bypass, installation of an upgraded bypass, the repair of existing steel pipe, high-angle inspection, and strict flagging/coordination with CN Rail. The project also required the use of CN’s rail equipment for stringing out the bypass piping, crane work, and excavation.
