Project Description

RAM was retained to provide Engineering Services for the design of a Parking Lot with a footprint estimated to be just under 1ha in size. The Parking Lot will be a one-way, single lane traffic flow with entrance at the South end and exit at the North end. It is designed to accommodate 6 – 10 gravel surfaced parking stalls and a 50 to 60 meter long lane which includes a paved entrance and exit aprons and barriers for separation from road shoulder. Other facilities include associated safety and park signage including an information shelter at the trail interface.

RAM’s Role

The scope of this project includes Engineering and Contract Administration such as:

• Completing a site survey of the construction area;
• Preparing detailed designs for construction purposes based on the proposed design;
• Completing construction field reviews including a site visit to assist BC Parks and the installation contractor with field installation and to ensure adherence to the designs; and
• Providing record documentation following construction, including record drawings and professional assurance documentation.
