Project Description
The Legacy Gathering Space Project based in Saanich, B.C. was a multidiscipline construction project for the Pauquachin First Nation, and presently serves as a community facility that celebrates Indigenous heritage and culture. RAM provided full project delivery services for this undertaking, including project management, construction management, safety services, quality oversight, and procurement.
The project involved the construction of two Mass Timber buildings: respectively, the Band Hall and Longhouse, both of which are able to accommodate up to 400 individuals to tend to the needs and activities of the Pauquachin First Nation. The Longhouse, built in a traditional First Nations style, is utilized for ceremonial activities, while the Band Hall offers various services and dining amenities to the occupants of the Long House.
Additionally, the Band Hall serves as a temporary shelter in event of any natural calamity, providing safe refuge to the entire Pauquachin community.
