Tell us about your role at RAM? What do you like most about it?
Gladly! I’ve joined the RAM Team as Manager of Construction Management (CM). In this position, my primary responsibilities are to pursue new opportunities to help grow the business, oversee all CM related projects and set out a new strategy so that the CM Team can meet our yearly performance, fiscal and professional development targets.
What I like most about the new role has to be getting to know all my new colleagues at RAM. Projects are always a collaborative effort and this requires an understanding of everyone’s past experiences and capabilities in order to best position a team to be successful.

What do you find most challenging at RAM?

Not challenging but perhaps more of a nuisance would be getting used to the different terminology and acronyms that everyone here at RAM uses. No need to worry though, I’ll get over it in another week or so.

What advice would you give to recent new hires?

I’ll repeat what I was once told at the beginning of my career: Don’t be afraid to ask questions and be brave by saying yes to new opportunities.

What are 3 career lessons you’ve learned this far?

  1. If you see something, say something.
  2. Take some time to understand other the persons’ position and perspective.
  3. Don’t burn bridges, it’s a small industry so play nice.

What do you like to do on your days off?

Time permitting is has to be travelling with friends and family. If not you’ll catch me in the local parks with my wife and dog, playing/watching soccer or trying to expand and refine my Spotify library.
