Project Description

The Distribution Design Rehabilitation program is a FortisBC capital design project aimed at replacing, repairing, or upgrading existing electrical distribution systems and equipment across their operating areas in the Okanagan and Kootenay regions. Current projects include work in Kelowna and the Crawford Bay/Gray Creek areas, reflecting the program’s broad regional scope.

RAM’s Role

RAM’s role is to provide electrical design for overhead distribution rehabilitations of varying scope that ranges from single pole replacements, overhead to underground conversions to multi-span replacements and reconductoring.

  • Perform initial field visits to assess structures and equipment, verify the needed scope of work
  • Coordinate with internal FortisBC and external shareholders to communicate the designs and expected work
  • Provided detailed engineering design for the modification or replacement of overhead distribution infrastructure
