Project Description

The project consisted of engineering and design of new pad-mounted outdoor unit sub, coordination with BC Hydro, and construction support.

RAM’s Role

RAM coordinated with BC Hydro to prepare BC Hydro civil design at new service location; identified proposed unit sub location; prepared site layout drawing for BC Hydro; designed unit substation layout as per Canadian Electrical Code and BC Hydro Primary Guide and completed fuse coordination engineering as per BC Hydro Primary Guide.

RAM also engineered the unit substation ground grid as per Canadian Electrical Code; engaged structural engineering firm for unit substation concrete pad design; compiled issued for construction package for contractors; conducted Engineer of Record field review of unit substation during construction; completed record drawings for unit substation; coordinated with BC Hydro to energize unit substation.
