Project Description

Rio Tinto planned to upgrade its port development laydown facilities comprised of multiple Alcan paved access roads and an aggregate finished storage facility. The scope of work includes:

  • Clearing, grubbing, and mass excavation
  • Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) Wall Construction
  • Anchored Secant Pile Wall Construction
  • Road Base Construction and Asphalt Paving
  • Utility Relocations and Installations including:
    • Water Mains
    • Sanitary Mains
    • Storm Water Mains
    • Underground and Overhead Electrical Cables
    • Fiber-Optic Cables

RAM’s Role

RAM was retained by IDL Projects to complete a detailed Class 1 estimate for the Laydown Facilities. The work included detailed unit pricing from productions, crew buildup, equipment resources, and indirects.
